What is worth seeing in Sandomierz?
Sandomierz has been attracting hundreds of tourists for years. The characteristic sloping market square, atmospheric streets, and Vistula River landscapes make this place a magnet for both organised tours and individual tourists from Poland and around the world. Let us explore the attractions of this extraordinary city situated on seven hills by the Vistula River.
As you approach Sandomierz from afar, you can admire the majestic Old Town perched on a hill, which looks particularly charming at night when illuminated. Arriving tourists can find two car parks - a larger one for buses near the castle, and a second for individual tourists and cars near the Opatów Gate (Zawichojska Street). Starting your tour from either side forms a nice loop, as the main attractions of Sandomierz are concentrated in close proximity to each other.
