Habitat of Silence in the Kłodzko Valley
It's hard to find a better name for this place. The silence here is so profound that it feels shameful to break it. It was this very silence, years ago, that captivated Magda and Jarek, drawing them from Wrocław to Kamieńczyk. For it is here, in a small village right by the border with the Czech Republic, that Siedlisko has nestled in.
It has nestled in so firmly that it was almost falling apart. It took a considerable amount of time for Magda and Jarek to lift it up from its knees. Replacing the windows turned into securing the walls, which evolved into installing various systems. But slowly, bit by bit, things started to progress, and today the hosts can accommodate 14 guests in 2-, 3-, and 4-person rooms. Each one is different. One is poppy-themed, another has a parrot motif, and yet another is near the terrace, where a cat likes to jump through the window.
In addition to the rooms, guests have access to a living room-library combined with a dining room, which Magda affectionately calls "The Stable." The atmosphere there is otherworldly, especially in winter by the fireplace. How could it be otherwise when the place is created by two such artistic souls, helped by a duo of dogs in the form of Scottish setters?
Why else is it worth visiting Siedlisko and when should you do it? There are two options. For the food that comes out of Magda's kitchen, one can come at any time. The kind of magic that lands on the table in Kamieńczyk is rare. If, apart from food, we want something for the spirit, it's worth attending yoga workshops. Because Siedlisko offers not only silence but also a room tailored to the needs of yogis who come here from all directions. So there's no need to hesitate; just come. For the silence, for the food, for the yoga. To Magda and Jarek.
