Samotnia - The PTTK Hostel named after Waldemar Siemaszko, by the Staw Mały lake in the Karkonosze Mountains, is one of the oldest hostels in Poland.
The facility currently has 50 sleeping places. There is also a restaurant, a library, a clothes drying room, a ski rental, deck chairs, a tourist information point, a GOPR point, as well as a climbing wall and permanent internet access.
Every year, on the second day of Easter, the "Easter Slalom" is organised for the "Samotnia" cup.
Currently, "Samotnia" is experiencing a renaissance and has become one of the most awarded hostels and tourist facilities in Poland. In the area, there is a junction of picturesque hiking trails.
