How to plan an Easter trip in Poland? Practical tips
The aura outside constantly reminds us that soon it's not only spring but also Easter. With each passing year, more people are opting to celebrate the holidays in a somewhat less traditional way, because who said that celebrations can only happen at home? How can you prepare for an Easter getaway?
Easter Getaway – Is It Worth It?
Is an Easter trip a good idea? It all depends on how you like to spend this time. If there are no holidays for you without family gatherings — you might be missing something (unless you plan your holiday trip with grandparents, uncles, cousins, and whoever else you want). Let's simplify and assume you have two types of trips to choose from: organised holiday trips or self-organised Easter celebrations. Each requires a slightly different preparation.
Organised Holiday Trips
Do you want to go somewhere ready and not worry about anything? In that case, you must choose an organised Easter getaway. And once again, you have two options: a trip with a travel agency or looking for holiday offers directly at hotels, guesthouses, and holiday resorts. The biggest advantage of this type of trip is the luxury of doing nothing. Holiday packages usually include accommodation and meals — including a festive Easter breakfast. If you care about a traditional Easter basket — be sure to ask the organiser about it. Sometimes the hotel prepares a ready basket; sometimes, you have to take care of it yourself. If you prefer to celebrate in a private group, it’s worth inquiring whether you will have a separate table during meals or if it will be shared with other guests. Often, the package also includes some additional Easter attractions. In any case, during such a trip, your main task will be... celebrating 😉. The downside will be the price (you have to expect a higher cost for such a holiday trip).
Self-Organised Easter Getaway
The first thing you need to remember when organising a holiday trip is that during the holidays, shops and restaurants will be closed. Of course, much depends on the town you choose. In larger resorts, there is a higher chance that at least on Easter Monday, you will find some lunch in town. Therefore, it is essential to do your grocery shopping before the trip. Additionally, when looking for accommodation, it’s worth opting for cottages, apartments, or rentals with their own kitchen (or at least a room with kitchen access). This way, you can freely prepare your favourite holiday dishes and spend time on your own terms.
Holiday Trips in Poland
When planning an Easter getaway, the most important thing is to arrange it in the company in which you feel best. After all, with loved ones, everything else takes a back seat. And Easter eggs? They can be made anywhere!
