Ciężkowice
Ciężkowice - this town is home to a non-living nature reserve established in 1974. It covers an area of 14.91 hectares. The reserve was created to protect the terrain with numerous picturesque groups of sandstone rocks from Ciężkowice. Ongoing erosion and weathering give these rocks unusual and unique shapes. Scattered on the hill, small and large rock formations create the impression of the ruins of an ancient settlement. Some of them have customary names, such as: Rock with a Cross, Mushroom, Paderewski's Tower, Pyramids, Badger, Stronghold, Grunwald, Town Hall, Witch.
200 metres northeast of the reserve lies a gorge that is a natural monument - Waterfall Gorge. Among the plant species protected in the reserve are: laurel, fragrant woodruff, common ivy, and orchids.
In Ciężkowice, the Natural History Museum named after Krystyna and Włodzimierz Tomków is also worth visiting, as well as the Dworek I.J. Paderewski in Kąśna Dolna nearby.
