Kampinos National Park
Kampinos National Park - 1 of 23 national parks in Poland. It is the second largest in terms of area, after Biebrza National Park, covering approximately 38.5 thousand hectares. It was established in 1959, and the symbol of the park is the elk. Kampinos National Park extends from the northwestern borders of Warsaw to the Bzura River, situated in the ancient valley of the Vistula. It features marshy and forested areas as well as dunes. The park's territory has significant historical importance related to partisan and independence struggles from the times of uprisings - there is a historic cemetery for the fallen. Kampinos National Park can be accessed from several directions, but the heart of it lies in the village of Kampinos, specifically in the settlement located north of Kampinos - Granica. Here you will find the Park Museum, the Kampinos open-air museum, and a hub for numerous hiking and cycling trails. It is an important tourist attraction and an extremely interesting place in Poland.
