Olsztyn Castle

The Castle in Olsztyn – Another castle ruin that is part of the Eagle's Nest Trail is the castle in Olsztyn near Częstochowa, which was built in 1306.

The castle is located on a rocky hill called the Sunny Rocks, between the Towarne Mountains and the Sokole Mountains Reserve, making it a great viewpoint and starting point (the stunning views of the surrounding area are even more impressive from the renovated 35-meter tower). One of the trails from the castle leads to the former quarry "Kielniki," which is hidden nearby in the forest and is currently open to tourists. Many interesting legends are associated with the castle; one of them says that it has an underground connection to the Jasna Góra Monastery.
The Olsztyn castle hill offers attractions all year round; various events take place here in the summer, and in winter, the castle hill becomes a kingdom for tobogganists :)
