Krynica-Zdrój
Krynica-Zdrój, one of the most charming towns in Poland, is exceptionally welcoming to its guests, and many green areas, pedestrian-only spaces, and interesting architectural monuments make it a pleasant place to spend time. It is a typical spa region, but cultural, political, scientific, and business events also take place here. There is also the Toy Museum and the Nikifor Museum, which celebrates the work of the renowned painter. In winter, it becomes one of the larger winter sports centres. The medicinal waters available in the town’s pump room, especially the Zuber water, which has surprisingly high mineralization, are also famous. In the nearby forests and meadows, you can encounter nearly 1000 species of plants, as well as rare animal species such as bears, wildcats, otters, Eurasian eagle-owls, and lesser spotted eagles. Moreover, Krynica-Zdrój is characterised by the features of a sub-Alpine climate. The surrounding trails and mountains, Parkowa and Jaworzyna Krynicka, encourage hiking excursions. In winter, it becomes the skiing capital of Poland. In the evenings, music concerts are held in the restaurants.
