Holiday by the Baltic Sea. Why is it worth choosing Ustronie Morskie?
Planning a seaside holiday, but besides sunbathing, you want to see something and have a nice time? Consider a coastal resort with over 100 years of healing tradition. Ustronie Morskie is one of the most beautiful summer destinations on the Polish coast. In addition to a beautiful beach, it offers numerous and very interesting attractions.
Description of the town
Ustronie Morskie, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, is situated by the Pomeranian Bay, on the Słowiński Coast. Its convenient location for tourists – between Kołobrzeg and Koszalin – as well as the interesting surroundings encourage visits. And when we add a wonderful, clean beach and numerous attractions to this, there's nothing left to do but plan a holiday in this charming town.
Beach
The 10 km long beach is undoubtedly the biggest attraction of Ustronie Morskie. Most access points lead to it by stairs. There are also places where families with small children, who are still discovering the world in strollers, can easily reach the beach. One of them is a gentle ramp at entrance No. 13, which leads on a paved surface right to the water. We also recommend the newly built forest path leading to access point No. 17. All its elements have been designed to interfere as little as possible with the natural shape of the forest and to allow access to the sea on a flat and solid surface.
The bathing area in Ustronie Morskie, with its long shoreline and exceptionally clean beach, has been awarded the Blue Flag multiple times. Lifeguards oversee the safety of tourists, the sea near the shore is shallow, and there are no large waves. Therefore, it's a great place for the youngest beachgoers. There, playing in the fluffy sand and splashing in the sea has no end.
Climate
Relaxation in Ustronie Morskie can be attractive for children, adults, and spa guests alike. The local bioclimate, with a high iodine content and soothing sea breeze, has healing properties. It positively affects health and well-being and provides energy to explore extraordinary places.
Other attractions – what to do after the beach?
In Ustronie Morskie, besides the beautiful beach, there are many interesting places to discover. First and foremost, we recommend visiting the fishing port, viewing terrace, and three promenades. One of them is privately owned but open to tourists. The views from the seaside platform are breathtaking. Sea waves to the horizon, refreshing sea breeze, and air filled with iodine allow you to fully soak in this unique place. A walk along the cliff promenade is also a great opportunity to admire beautiful seaside sunsets.
The town also has a spa park, a beautiful large church, an amphitheater where numerous performances take place, and a 7D cinema.
The Helios Aquapark, with interesting water attractions, not only diversifies seaside relaxation but also comes in handy on rainy days.
Western Park transports visitors to the Wild West in the blink of an eye. You can see real cowboys, an Indian camp, and plenty of interesting spots waiting to be discovered, all among the characteristic buildings adorned with numerous attractions. These include: a mini zoo, archery, horseback riding, rodeo, bank robbery shows, quads, playgrounds, games, and cowboy dance lessons. There's no place for boredom there! Not only can you have great fun, but you can also learn something interesting in the process. Those who decide to stay at Western Park can learn, for example, about the history of Indian tribes and see their costumes and everyday tools up close.
On the tourist map of Ustronie Morskie, there is also the Bread Museum. This is a place where you can not only taste baked goods from over a century-old oven but also bake bread yourself following an old Polish recipe. The facility also offers lectures on milling and baking, as well as pottery workshops.
Fans of hiking or cycling trips will also find something for themselves there. Nearby trails allow for discovering many curiosities of nearby towns, and numerous bike rentals enable you to choose the right vehicle.
The Ustronie Morskie commune is also known for its ancient and beautiful oaks. The Bolesław Oak, which was knocked down by a storm in 2016, was over 800 years old and is considered the oldest oak in Poland. Its remains have not been removed and serve as a natural monument. In the Kołobrzeg Forest, you will also find a towering oak over 37 meters high and aged (over 640 years) named Warcisław.
For the active ones, we recommend the Gibon rope park, which stands out for its rich variety of obstacles and paths. It’s one of the largest parks of its kind in Poland. Almost five kilometers of fun with over 419 obstacles provide a dose of unforgettable experiences and guarantee a safe rush of adrenaline.
And if that's not enough, go paintballing or jump out of a plane. A flight over the sea is tourism at a veeeery high level.
The Golf Driving Range is another attraction in Ustronie Morskie providing active leisure. It’s a place for anyone who wants to learn to play golf or improve their skills.
The tourist train is a great option for touring this coastal town without the need for long walks. The train runs through Ustronie Morskie, Sianożęty, Gąski, and also to the mouth of the Red River into the sea.
In the area, it’s also worth seeing the largest observation tower in Poland - Sky-Park Kukinka, Pomerania Fun Park in Pyszka, the Hortulus Gardens in Dobrzyca, Mouse Town, the Upside Down House, and the Oceanarium in Kołobrzeg, as well as lighthouses like those in Gąski and Kołobrzeg.
