Kozłowieckie Forests
A large forest complex is located just a few kilometres north of Lublin. It owes its name to the renowned Zamoyski Museum situated in the area of Kozłówka. The Kozłowieckie Forests, mentioned here, attract visitors from various parts of Poland for walks, cycling, and other attractions.

A significant part of the Kozłowieckie Forests consists of the Kozłowiecki Landscape Park - it provides excellent living conditions for birds such as the white-tailed eagle, buzzard, and tawny owl, as well as numerous protected plants, including the pedunculate oak. From a tourism perspective, this forest complex is exceptionally well adapted. Numerous cycling paths wind through the forest, well-marked clearings are present, and several areas of the forest have modern parking facilities (camper-friendly) for cyclists and individual tourists. It is a true paradise for runners, cyclists, mushroom pickers, walkers, and all lovers of active tourism. The Kozłowieckie Forests are intersected by many watercourses and picturesque ponds are also found here.
Surrounding the Kozłowieckie Forests are towns worth visiting, such as the aforementioned Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka, the village of Dąbrówka (mini open-air museum, mini zoo), and the village of Stary Tartak (hunting lodge, agritourism). It is worth stopping by to explore this part of Poland while visiting the Lublin region.
