Będzin Castle
The Castle in Będzin - a medieval defensive fortress located on a hill in Będzin, along a busy road, overlooking the Czarna Przemsza river. The fortress consists of the upper castle and a vast outer bailey with remnants of perimeter walls; the structure dates back to the 14th century.
Since 1956, the Będzin District Museum has been operating in the castle, offering visitors the chance to explore the following sites: the castle with its tower, the Mieroszewski Palace, the "Mizrachi" Prayer House, as well as the revitalised Castle Hill, under which the Będzin Undergrounds are open for exploration.
A visit and tour of the site lasts about 50 minutes.
