Hello
Hel is a seaside town in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, currently home to around 3,500 residents. Among the tourist attractions in Hel are the Seal Sanctuary, the lighthouse, and the terminal point at the tip of the Hel Peninsula (known as the Beginning of Poland). Additionally, there is a fishing centre and a naval garrison, as well as remnants from the defensive battles at the beginning of September 1939. Hel is one of the towns operating within the Kashubian culture. During the PRL era, access to Hel by land was heavily restricted (entry was allowed only with a permit) due to military and defensive reasons. There was a military training ground and areas belonging to the navy.
You will find here a 330 kg shell, fired towards Hel in September 1939, a source of historical information about the Baltic Sea and the Navy, as well as charming grey seals, porpoises, and breathtaking views. It is an important tourist attraction and an incredibly interesting place in Poland.
