Taproom Tenczynek
A new spot has recently appeared on the gastronomic map of the Małopolska region, which lovers of unusual flavours and beverages must definitely visit. This is the Taproom, located in the Tenczynek Brewery near the town of Krzeszowice, just outside of Kraków. The pub aims to blend the long tradition of brewing with a modern concept.
It is worth mentioning that the dishes are prepared with local products, such as trout raised in the nearby Będkowska Valley and the Rózin Trout Farm in Dubie. The dishes draw attention with their interesting presentation, combining recipes from both Polish and European cuisines. The menu offers something for everyone, whether you are a fan of meat dishes or a vegan. Beef tartare, Palikot potato, veggie sour soup, or trout a la fish 'n' chips are just a few of the items waiting for us at the venue.
A particularly notable feature is the tall ceramic column with taps standing in the centre of the open space – this is the 'tap' mentioned in the name. Guests can serve themselves a certain amount of alcoholic beverages. The selection is challenging, as various beers, vodkas, and spirits wait for us. Of course, these are all produced at the brewery. To use the taps, we must first pay for a magnetic card, which we receive immediately upon entering the restaurant.
Through a glass wall, we can see the stills and vats where the distilled spirits will be prepared. This solution adds an incredible atmosphere to the whole place, where we can literally reach out and witness the creation process. An important element of the entire Taproom space is the brick structure of the historical brewery, which has been exposed for the sake of decoration. This beautifully ties back to the tradition of the Tenczynek Brewery, which dates back to the 16th century. The establishment is filled with pleasant warm light, and soft music plays in the background.
One thing is certain, the Taproom in Tenczynek is a place where modernity intertwines with history, where you can comfortably settle in and engage in conversation while exploring unusual flavours. It's definitely a place worth visiting more than once.
