Sanctuary of the Queen of Families in Wambierzyce

The Sanctuary of the Queen of Families in Wambierzyce is located in the town of Wambierzyce in the Kłodzko County. The history of this place dates back to 1218, when the blind Jan from Raszew regained his sight after a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the 18th century, a basilica was built here, surrounded by a calvary. Characteristic of the Wambierzyce Basilica are the steps commemorating events from the life of Jesus – 33 steps commemorate the age of Jesus Christ, 15 steps represent the age of Mary at the time of conception, and 9 steps correspond to the number of angelic choirs. This is an important tourist attraction and an incredibly interesting place in Poland.
