Leski Stone
The Bieszczady Mountains attract visitors all year round. In spring and summer, they tempt with mountain hikes; in autumn, with golden foliage; and even in winter, lovers of active leisure will find something for themselves. One interesting place that is worth visiting is Kamień Leski. The reserve, as the name suggests, is located near Lesko and boasts unique rock formations.
Kamień Leski is an exceptionally original group of rocks made of Krosno sandstone. It is situated at an altitude of 400-420 meters above sea level. Its specific shape is due to erosional processes, mainly from the wind. Kamień Leski is surrounded by a reserve, which is conveniently located along the so-called Little Loop of the Bieszczady on the route from Lesko to Ustrzyki Dolne. It is near the village of Glinne, about 3 kilometers from the borders of Lesko. There is a small parking area by the reserve, which can be easily overlooked due to its location just after a bend in the road. The route for exploring Kamień Leski is marked with hiking trails and forms a loop - it can be approached from below or from above. It is a unique place worth visiting during a trip to the Bieszczady, appreciated by tourists, artists, and photographers.
