St. Onuphrius Monastery in Jabłeczna
The Monastery of St. Onuphrius in Jabłeczna - an Orthodox male monastery, probably founded in the late 15th century. The current church, dedicated to St. Onuphrius, was built between 1838 and 1840 in the Neoclassical style. The monastery complex features a richly decorated iconostasis and many icons, with the icon of St. Onuphrius at the forefront. Nearby the monastery, there is the Chapel of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos. Around the monastery, there are picturesque areas along the Bug River, and Jabłeczna itself is located very close to the Polish-Belarusian border. It is an important tourist attraction and an extremely interesting place in Poland.
