Wapienica Valley

The Wapienica Valley in Bielsko-Biała — a great idea for a pleasant walk
If you think that you can't take a walk through a mountain valley in the city, listening to the birdsong and the rush of the crystal-clear river, then visit the Wapienica Valley in Bielsko-Biała. Here, you will find a very pleasant Nature Trail, which takes about an hour to walk.
Wapienica Valley – how to get there?
Bielsko-Biała is a city located in the Silesian Voivodeship at the foot of the Silesian Beskids. You can get here via DK1, as well as by train. The Wapienica Valley is located in the southwestern part of the city next to Jaworze. If you are driving, head towards the parking lot on Tartaczna Street, but it is also accessible by bus line 16, which runs among others from the PKP station in Bielsko-Biała. Whenever the weather is nice, the parking lot is filled to the brim, so sometimes it is even better to use public transport. There are also shelters with benches by the parking lot where you can rest, as well as a small inn.
Wapienica Valley – trails
The Wapienica Valley provides a pleasant walk surrounded by fragrant forest. Right by the parking lot, the Nature Trail begins, so from time to time it's worth looking out for information boards with interesting facts about the world of plants and animals. There is also a yellow tourist trail here, which will take you to Szyndzielnia. However, if you prefer just a peaceful walk through the valley, you just need to turn right before the dam, cross a small bridge, and return along the forest path that runs alongside the river. Here, you will be guided by another blue trail. Standing on the bridge, if you go left and uphill, you can reach Palenica and Błatnia, but if you turn right, you will get to the main road and the bus stop. Thus, you will walk the entire Nature Trail, with a waterfall and access to the river on your right.
The first part of the route runs along an asphalt road. If you don't turn right towards the bridge and continue straight, you will reach Krzywa Chata by the dam. This cafe has a lodge-like atmosphere. You can have something to eat while enjoying a beautiful view of the Wapienickie Lake. Right by Krzywa Chata, the yellow trail turns left, continuing to Szyndzielnia. The second part of the walk, following the blue trail, leads along a forest road. You can also confidently set off on a bike trip or a walk with a pram here.
Wapienica is my favorite walking spot in Bielsko-Biała. The loop along the yellow, then blue trail measures just over 3 km, and walking at a brisk pace takes less than an hour. Just right to recharge your batteries ????
