Three Crowns
Three Crowns - the most distinctive peak of the Pieniny Mountains, standing at 982 m above sea level. It is the highest peak of the Central Pieniny, made up of limestone rocks, three of which form the crown. The highest of these rocks is Okrąglica - accessible to tourists, where there is a viewpoint platform offering an extraordinary panorama. There are hiking trails leading to Three Crowns, with two main ones from Sromowce Niżne (the shorter one) and from Krościenko nad Dunajcem (a bit longer).
Both trails meet at the Szopka Pass (780 m above sea level), and from there it’s about a twenty-minute ascent to the summit of Three Crowns. This is an important tourist attraction and an extremely interesting place in Poland.
