Castle in Siewierz
The Castle in Siewierz - travelling from Zawiercie to Katowice along route no. 78, you pass through Siewierz, where in the eastern part of the town you will encounter the restored ruins of the ducal castle, located amidst marshy meadows on the right bank of the Czarna Przemsza River. It is believed that the first masonry phase of the Gothic castle was built in the first half of the 14th century.
Currently, the reconstructed walls can be visited for free, and within them, there are interesting exhibitions. During the summer season, the courtyard hosts battle reenactments, sword duels, and other performances. The castle has a very intimate atmosphere, owing to the small number of visitors, making it perfect for those who dislike crowds.
