Open-Air Museum in Nowy Sącz
The Open-Air Museum in Nowy Sącz - you can enter the Sądecki Ethnographic Park (this is the official name of the place) from Lwowska Street or from Długoszowskiego Street. Established in 1975, this open-air museum showcases the historical wooden architecture of the Sądecki Lachy, Pogórze, Sądecki Highlanders, and Lemkos from the Nadpoprad region. In total, there are about 70 structures, including entire peasant farms, a nobleman's manor, a farmstead, a school, a windmill, an oil mill, and other buildings that were once common. The Gypsy Farmstead is also worth noting.
In addition to this, there are chapels, roadside crosses, and churches of various denominations. Several interiors have been arranged, including a wedding room. Interestingly, alongside the traditional open-air museum with its historic rural buildings, a reconstructed "Galician Town" was established in 2011, where you can see the town hall, a noble manor, a tavern serving traditional dishes, as well as former shops and artisan workshops.
